Interview With Danielle On The WildBeauty Within Online Meditation Class
Q1: WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT ABOUT SKIN HEALING AND WHY IS SKIN TREATMENT NOT ENOUGH?
"Life as a woman can be challenging in many ways, especially as we are held to the stereotype beauty standard of an ever-unreachable media picture of perfection! When our skin is affected by a condition that hinders our self-esteem, it can have a significant impact on every aspect of our lives. Simply wearing a skirt, shorts, short sleeves, or bikini can be stressful. Having to apply cover-up makeup just to go to the grocery store... Even our confidence with intimate relationships with others and with ourselves can be affected in the worst of ways. Living a daily life of insecurities due to skin conditions takes its toll on our overall mental health.
Stress can be the number one root cause or symptom of any skin condition, and/or a blocker to the healing process. This stress can be associated with the condition, contributing to the problem, or, in some cases, may actually be causing it. Our emotional stress can delay or even prevent healing of the skin.
As a professional esthetician, I have always seen my role as a healer of skin, dedicating my research and learning to helping my clients achieve their goals of feeling good about themselves. Being a psoriasis sufferer myself, I have experienced the extreme emotional impacts of a serious, debilitating, chronic skin condition—which also compounded common skin conditions like acne and aging.
After many years of treating a variety of skin conditions, from minor issues like wrinkles, dark circles, acne, and blemishes to more serious ones like eczema, psoriasis, and scar tissue, with a range of traditional oils, creams, and cutting-edge enzyme therapy, one of the key consistent elements in the effectiveness of the healing process has been energy. By that, I mean the energy within the client.
This is why just treating the skin wasn’t enough for my clients or for me! It led me to studying other holistic practices that could help heal the energy within. After mastering Reiki, I was able to provide my clients with energy healing during their skin treatment therapy treatments. By learning about herbal and nutritional sciences, I was able to provide my clients with dietary recommendations. Through the combination of these, we started to see accelerated results from treating the underlying health issues in conjunction with skin treatments."
SO WHY DID YOU DEVELOP AN ONLINE MASTER CLASS FOR MEDITATION?
"Like many people, my clients are busy; not all have extra income for treatments, and not all treatments can be done more than a few times a month. These and other factors mean I don’t get to see and treat my clients as often as they would like. This limited the amount of energy work I could help them with, as it was restricted to only being available in person. So I began encouraging my clients to explore meditation and holistic practices outside of treatments to assist them in managing their stress and accelerating their healing.
We are very fortunate today to have online access to a multitude of meditation and wellness practices—there are literally millions available on YouTube today, along with thousands of online classes, with more becoming available every day. With so many available, the struggle I had was which ones to recommend to my clients. While some people were familiar with meditation techniques and some had tried them in the past, most of what I heard was that they were a little resistant, skeptical, and reluctant to invest the time or money in these online lessons. What I discovered from my own experiences is the lack of structured learning, consistency between lessons, and quality of production in what was out there. Many of the videos and courses were filled with pop-culture jargon, religious bias, and metaphysical beliefs—all of which can be barriers for people to adopt meditation practices on a frequency that provides the desired benefits. Meditation isn’t a “one and done” or “just do now and then” activity when you are applying it to healing practices. It is about integrating the teachings of meditation into your daily life, and without the right kind of teachings, that can be really challenging to do."
Q3: WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT WHAT YOU DEVELOPED?
“Meditation is about three things
1. Breathing – the power of controlling how we breathe
2. Thinking – the power of controlling how we think
3. Believing – the power of controlling what we manifest
Understanding breathing and thinking generates the beliefs required to accomplish our goals. So, more than just a meditation video is required—some form of education about what, how, and why provides the necessary information for belief. Expecting people to simply trust that the practices are beneficial without explanation is not enough for many to commit their time, as we no longer live in an age of blind faith.
Another important component of meditation is journaling, allowing people to capture and track their experiences, insights, and progress in a traceable, structured manner. Measuring success in both qualitative and quantitative terms, which provides evidence of results, is essential for reinforcing beliefs.
Even more than money, in this busy and demanding life we lead, our time is the most valuable commodity we have. If we are going to commit to investing our time over a period, we need reassurance that it will add value to our lives. Acknowledging, respecting, and honoring that need, especially for those in need of healing, is often overlooked in what is offered as a solution. Wellness courses that require scheduling specific time slots, or have limited accessibility or specific technology requirements, can hinder completion.
Learning how to meditate is like learning to play the guitar—many people just want to pick up the guitar and play their favorite song. And, like meditation, depending on the song, that can be relatively easy to do. However, playing a tune doesn’t mean you know how to play the guitar. To unlock the limitless potential and powerful healing benefits of meditation, we must master the basics. This is where many available courses fail to provide a structured learning path for teaching the fundamentals. To achieve the manifestation of wellness, or really anything in life, we must first practice the basic steps. That starts with centering ourselves to calm our bodies and minds, followed by healing and clearing mental blockages, leading us to open our minds to connect and align within ourselves to energies that can function in the ways we need them to. Only once we master these basics can we perform types of meditation that provide the desired benefits we seek.

Q4: IS THIS ONLINE MASTER CLASS JUST FOR HEALING SKIN CONDITIONS?
"My experience, passion, and expertise are in skin healing. My goal is to help all my clients and anyone suffering from any skin condition that hinders their quality of life. However, the meditation course we are providing includes 10 structured lessons that are not specifically about skin. Currently, only the last two lessons are meditations and teachings that are constructed specifically for skin therapy goals.

As we move forward we will be developing additional meditation lessons for skin, as well as for other specific types of treatments which will aid in healing. We will also be developing more offerings under the umbrella of Elemental Skin Therapy, with dedicated events that connect other practitioners and services which complement a holistic integrative approach to wellness.
